Guilds

Guilds are formed when several people in the Shire want to focus on learning a particular skill. If there is a guild you would like to participate in, but don't see listed here, talk to the Seneschal.

  • Costumers' Guild
The goal of the Costumers' Guild is to get everyone in garb. The first time a person comes, I ask them to write down their costuming needs. Then I assist with meeting those needs. This can be anything from making simple garb to extensive research and advanced costuming techniques. One does not have to come to every meeting to benefit from the guild. Individuals may come and go as their needs are met. I have many books on costuming. I also regularly check out books from the library. I have three sewing machines of my own. I can also make sure we have the Shire sewing machine on hand, if needed.
